Currently, we service both the Australian and US market. Our technology stack is an extremely modern, event-driven micro service architecture. Some highlights from the stack are as follows:

  • Kafka
  • Several AWS Services: ElasticSearch, Dynamo, S3, Cognito, etc
  • GraphQL
  • C#, NUnit
  • React, Cypress, Jest, Bootstrap, and Flutter
  • NodeJS
  • PostgreSQL
  • Kubernetes and Docker

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Participate in technical solutions sessions to come up with innovative solutions that align with business requirements to solve the problem statements provide
  • Engage in frequent touch points with product and UX on active work items
  • Research new technologies that could potentially be beneficial for us to adopt
  • Enforce the coding standards and consistency Kangarootime expects through the application
  • Implement all varieties of tests needed to enable CI/CD to run smoothly (e.g., unit, integration, e2e)
  • Perform code reviews
  • Encourage and engage in paired programming opportunities
  • Build new features to the specifications the team has agreed to
  • Debug and improve currently implemented features

Here’s what you’ll need:

    • Experience with several of the technologies listed above
    • At least 3+ years working in developing cross platform mobile applications, ideally Flutter specifically, but will consider other languages/frameworks as valid experience
    • This includes having worked to build applications that are distributed to both Android and Apple stores and experience with that process
    • At least 5+ years of experience building and deploying modern applications with Agile methodologies
    • Capable of working in an autonomous environment
    • A team player mindset and strong collaboration skills
    • Ability to organize and prioritize work
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Familiarity with the early childhood education industry or education industry in general is a huge bonus
